The blogger

The word “Blog” is an abbreviation of “web log” in English, which means “logbook” or “internet journal” in French. It is a personal space of expression made essentially to give voice to the blogger (the author of the blog) who will publish posts over time. The blog offers the possibility to each reader to leave their prints. A blog is a place for interactions.

The blogger is above all a passionate person who reads and knows how to write. He runs his blog and feeds it by posting posts online and/or integrating content offered by third parties. The blogger is subject to legal obligations comparable to those of the journalist due to the publication and dissemination of information on the Internet. The writings remain: The publications are archived on the Internet.

The blogger must be the author of the posts he offers on his blog. The Internet makes it easy to reproduce content and it is sometimes difficult to know the origin of content already published. In the event of reuse of content from a third party (texts, images, videos, sounds, brands, etc.), the blogger must have obtained prior authorization from the rights holder and cite the author(s). Any reproduction or representation of content and/or brands belonging to third parties and protected by intellectual property rights, without prior authorization from the rights holders, constitutes the criminal offense of counterfeiting and may result in the blogger being held liable before the courts. . Bloggers are therefore prohibited from using protected content for which they do not have the rights.

There is a way to obtain free-to-use content: Creative Commons licenses. These are contracts in which the author determines the rights attached to his work. These licenses do not replace copyright, but establish the conditions for reuse of works.

Readers

A blog is also enriched by readers' interventions as long as they are polite. In the interest of all, aggression has no place on the site. The Internet has a memory. Just like blog content, readers' comments remain on the Web and are likely to hold their author liable in court. Since they are linked to the blog, the comments are also likely to engage the liability of the blogger. Do not hesitate to report any slippages by informing us by email ( yagaburundi@gmail.com )
